Oshawa, Ontario – GM Canada has announced that the all-new 2009 Pontiac Vibe, now arriving in showrooms, will have a starting price of $15,995.
“With the new 2009 Vibe, we have taken everything customers liked about the original Vibe and elevated it to the next level with the all-new design,” said Marc Comeau, vice president of sales, service and marketing for GM of Canada. “Its strong residual value is a testament to its quality. And with its long list of standard features, two fuel-efficient powertrain choices and impressive versatility, all backed by GM’s leading coverage, the new Vibe is an exceptional value.”
All 2009 Vibe models include standard features including six airbags, active head restraints, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, StabiliTrak electronic stability control, traction control, OnStar and tire pressure monitoring system.
The volume-leading Vibe SE model includes air conditioning and a power package and will start at $18,995. All-wheel drive and GT models are also available.
The company also announced its new “Catch the Vibe Challenge”, a city-based fun competition that will pit 96 Canadian journalists from Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver in a series of city challenges, armed with a 2009 Vibe and wireless handheld device, which they will use to recruit a broad online support network to help in the quest.
