Montreal, Quebec – Pirelli has announced the introduction of its latest generation of new winter tires, the Winter Sottozero Serie II.
The new line has been specifically designed for maximum performance in fall and winter conditions, especially for temperatures of 7°C and below, when non-winter tires lose their elasticity, resulting in reduced contact area and reduction in overall grip.
The series incorporates two ribs for stability and uniform tread wear; three wide grooves to help prevent aquaplaning; interactive “brickwork” sipes for enhanced grip on all surfaces; and an advanced winter compound that achieves maximum performance in both fall and winter temperatures.
The Winter Sottozero Serie II complements Pirelli’s winter line-up of Winter Carving/Edge for touring cars and SUVs, the Scorpion Ice & Snow for light trucks and SUVs, and the Winter Chrono for commercial vans.
