Pioneer unveils dual zone media playback
Long Beach, California – Pioneer Electronics announced a new dual zone headunit that combines simultaneous playback of two media sources at the same time. This enables the driver and front-seat passenger to enjoy their favourite radio music or talk radio programs while rear-seat passengers can take advantage of video screens and headphones to watch movies or play video games.
The DVH-P7000 combines the popular features of an audio component, including Supertuner III, MOSFET 50, Easy EQ, Dual Hi-Volt outputs and a versatile two-way crossover, with video capabilities, including DVD/DVD-R/RW playback, 96kHz/24-bit D/A conversion, optical output for Dolby Digital/DTS/Dolby Pro Logic (with DEQ-P7000).
“Drivers and passengers alike will enjoy the flexibility of a dual zone product,” said Michael Townsen, vice president of marketing for mobile entertainment at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. “The driver can listen to XM Satellite Radio while the kids in the back can be watching their favorite DVD on a overhead monitor.”
The DVH-P7000 is the perfect media center for the automobile with an IP-Bus input that allows for easy accessorizing. Consumers can add XM satellite radio, multi-CD changer, TV tuner and a multi-channel processor for the ultimate audio and video experience. The optional DEQ-P7000 multi-channel processor incorporates 5.1-channel surround, six-channel Hi-Volt (5 Volts) outputs, 3-band parametric EQ, listening position and digital sound field control.
