Pioneer introduces new audio and DVD mobile system
Long Beach, California – Pioneer Electronics announced the release of its new AV-SYS6DVD mobile DVD system that combines high-powered audio with a DVD system. The AV-SYS6DVD package is a complete system out of the box that includes AM/FM receiver, 6-1/2 inch motorized TFT widescreen monitor and a DVD player.
“We are no longer working in a traditional car audio environment,” said Michael Townsen, vice president of marketing for mobile entertainment at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. “Consumers want a mixture of audio and video sources. Pioneer’s AV systems allow them to enjoy music and movies with the same quality they get at home.”
This mobile DVD system features a large screen that motorizes out of the dash to provide more information in an easy-to-read format including audio, track and EQ display menus. When not in use, the monitor retracts and hides itself for added security. When the parking break is engaged, the system is ready to play DVD movies, making it even more flexible for consumers who want the exceptional picture quality found in DVD movies.
The system features Pioneer’s MOSFET50 amplifier chip, providing 50 watts of power to each of four speakers. Whether playing CDs or DVD movies, Pioneer’s inclusive audio features such as Easy EQ, three band parametric EQ and the two-way cross over network tailor the sound for even the most critical ear. In addition, the unit also includes an A/V Bus input for addition of a TV tuner, multi-CD changer or XM radio tuner. It offers a composite video output for rear seat monitors.
A reverse back-up wire can be connected to a camera as an added safety feature.
