Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island – Hundreds of enthusiasts are expected to attend the PEI International Motoring Festival this summer in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Set against the waterfront in the historic downtown area, the event will celebrate the best in North American and foreign-make automobiles, ranging from heritage vehicles to exotic cars.
Entertainment includes a radio-controlled racetrack, live Beatles tribute band, children’s activities and classic car movies. The inaugural 2009 event is scheduled for July 25 and 26 in Confederation Landing Park.
Motorists will also be given the opportunity to register for a professional racing course the following weekend in Slemon Park on August 1 and 2. Participants will take part in driving lessons and lapping sessions on a 2-km oval circuit on the Slemon Park airport tarmac.
