Toronto, Ontario – Catherine Lee and Gregory Duggan from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario have won the Canada’s Next Top Ad Exec contest, with each winning a new Mitsubishi Lancer.

The competition was open to all undergraduate, MBA and business minor students across the country; submissions were received from 27 Canadian universities. The winners are both in their second year at Queen’s.

In their final round of the competition, which involved ten teams, the pair had to present their marketing plans for Mitsubishi Motors to a panel of 14 marketing experts from industry and academia. Second place went to Renzo Mendoza, the only finalist who entered the competition alone, from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario; Infield Marketing Group in Mississauga, Ontario was so impressed with his presentation that he was offered an internship with the company. Third place went to Sean Roberts and Michael Wallace, also from Queen’s University.

The competition is run by students from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
