Aurora, Ontario – Ontario-based Magna International will supply a variety of components and systems to Volkswagen, which will build a new midsize sedan in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 2011.

Four of Magna’s operating units have been awarded new business from Volkswagen Group of America. Two of them will occupy space in the new supplier park Volkswagen is building adjacent to the assembly facility.

The contracts include body and structural components from Cosma International; window regulators and deck lid latches from Magna Closures; fascias, sealing systems and pillar trim covers from Magna Exteriors and Interiors; and seats from Magna Seating, through the new Chattanooga Seating Systems joint venture with Hollingsworth Logistics.

Magna will create approximately 140 jobs in the area once the assembly plant reaches full production.
