German parts manufacturer Capricorn wins bid for fabled Ring
We reported earlier a Miami investment firm had won bidding for the infamous Green Hell. However, that does not seem to be the case, as a German auto parts company has given the highest bid for the track and facilities.
Capricorn Automotive, based in Düsseldorf, has plans for a new technology centre at the Nürburgring and will more than likely transform the facility into and even hotter bed for automotive testing and development.
While the winning bid amount was not announced, it’s estimated to be around 100 million euros.
