Mississauga, Ontario – Nominations are now being accepted for the Bridgestone Canadian Truck Hero Award, which recognizes truck drivers who have helped others in need on the road.
Nominations will be accepted from the public and from the trucking community.
“We are looking for stories of truck drivers from across the country who have gone beyond the call of duty to lend a hand to someone in need on the road,” said Jim West, of Bridgestone Canada. “All acts, no matter how big or small, are significant. It’s important to recognize these individuals. Not only do they help keep our highways safe, but they inspire others to do the same, on and off the roads.”
The winner will receive $3,000, a trophy and an all-expenses-paid trip to the award ceremony in November, which is held in Toronto in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Ontario Trucking Association, along with the driver’s employer and a guest. Bridgestone will also make a $3,000 donation to the winner’s charity of choice.
Nominees must be professional truck drivers who operate a truck with 14 wheels or more. For more information, visit TruckHero.
