Mississauga, Ontario – Nissan Canada will significantly expand its dealer presence and optimize its current retail network to secure a larger percentage of the overall market, the company said. 

The new dealer strategy is considered an essential element in the company’s global growth objectives, as outlined in the “Nissan Power 88” business plan for 2011 to 2016 as announced by global CEO Carlos Ghosn in June. The plan calls for a global market share of eight per cent and commits to enhancing the customer’s entire ownership experienced through increased investments in brands, products and retail networks.

Nissan Canada has engaged global experts to conduct a review of the Canadian marketplace, identifying geographical opportunities for expansion as well as reviewing Nissan operations in support of its dealers and strategies to enhance the customer experience.
