Mississauga, Ontario – The Nissan Canada Foundation has donated a 2012 NV 3500 van to the Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes (CCCKL) in Ontario to help it better respond to the needs of seniors.

“We are honoured to support Community Care City of Kawartha Lakes, which is devoted to helping seniors in need by providing affordable and reliable transportation options for seniors in their community,” said Allen Childs, president of Nissan Canada. “With the recent launch of the Nissan NV in Canada, the Nissan Canada Foundation is thrilled to provide this incredible vehicle to help CCCKL’s ability to deliver on its mission of providing services that respect individual choice, dignity and independence.”

CCCKL’s services include providing over 10,000 transfers each year for non-emergency specialized transportation for seniors and special-needs clients. With the NV, CCCKL will be able to increase its number of annual rides by 21 per cent.
