Nissan contributes five million yen to assist earthquake victims

Tokyo, Japan – Nissan Motor Company Ltd. has pledged five million yen to help disaster relief efforts in Niigata, following the deadly earthquake on July 16. Three million yen will be donated immediately to support on-the-ground volunteer activities.

Other contributions will go towards providing rental cars to support recovery efforts in the mid- to long-term. In collaboration with Nippon Keidanren, the automaker will also donate 1,000 towels, part of a larger effort to assist local residents who are being temporarily housed in emergency evacuation centres.
