Mississauga, Ontario – Nissan Canada announced pricing of the new 350Z Roadster, a convertible version of the 350Z coupe, which will go on sale this summer. Base price is $52,900 with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic transmission with gated shifter and manual mode. An optional GPS Navigation System with DVD-based data storage will be available on both for an additional $3,400.
The 350Z Roadster has a power-operated soft top which incorporates a glass rear window and defroster, and is designed to take 20 seconds start to finish. Unlike many other convertibles in class, the Z Roadster’s top stows compactly under a lightweight tonneau cover, completely hiding the top when down. The top design also includes a convenient three-lock, single latch system that provides a more secure seal while also making the closing process easier.
Structural reinforcements incorporated in the Z Roadster’s FM (Front Mid-ship) platform include a center floor V-shaped crossbar and A-shaped front end crossbar.
Both Z Roadster models are powered by the Z Coupe’s 287-horsepower 3.5-litre V6 engine and both a 6-speed close-ratio manual and 5-speed automatic transmission are available. The suspension is a 4-wheel independent design.
The 350Z Roadster features standard power leather seats, power-operated soft top, rear wind deflector, 18-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights, automatic climate control, Bose audio system (240 watts), and a choice of 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.
