Mississauga, Ontario – Nissan Canada has announced pricing on the all-new 2007 Altima, which goes on sale this week nationwide, and on the all-new Infiniti G35 Sports Sedan, also currently on sale. The fourth-generation Altima will start at $24,398, which is $400 lower than the 2006 model it replaces, while the G35 starts at $39,990, the same price as the 2006 model.

Built on the new Nissan “D” platform with improved body rigidity and redesigned suspension, the Altima is available with a 2.5-litre V6 or 3.5-litre V6, and with a six-speed manual or continuously variable (CVT) transmission. Prices range from $24,398 for the 2.5 S with six-speed to the Altima 3.5 SE with CVT at $31,398. Available packages include leather upholstery, sunroof, and navigation with XM satellite radio.

An additional model, the 2007 Altima Hybrid, is scheduled to go on sale in select markets in early 2007, with pricing to be announced at a later date.

The 2007 Infiniti G Sedan offers new exterior and interior designs, a more powerful 3.5-litre V6 engine that makes 26 hp more than the 2006 version, and a refined suspension design. Pricing ranges from $39,990 for the rear-wheel drive V6-powered G Sedan, and $43,390 for the all-wheel drive G35x, to the range-topping Infiniti G Sport at $46,790, which includes five-speed automatic transmission with solid magnesium paddle shifters, rear spoiler, 18-inch alloy wheels, viscous limited-slip differential and performance tires.
