Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban and GMC Yukon, Yukon XL could possibly get V6 power for the first time.
Hot on the tails of the new Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra this year, General Motors will be rolling out their SUV models in September at the Texas State Fair in Dallas.
Like the pickups, expect the new SUVs to get a significant update while only changing moderately underneath the skin. The full suite of new engines – 4.3L EcoTec3 V6, 5.3L EcoTec3 V8, and 6.2L EcoTec3 V8 – may also be available in the full-sizers. GM dropped the Vortec name with the new trucks and engines.
General Motors will reveal the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban along with their GMC Yukon and Yukon XL counterparts. The Cadillac Escalade will be unveiled later in the year or possibly in Detroit in January.
