North Bay, Ontario – A new book on foul-weather safety, The Canadian Winter Driver’s Handbook, is now available in print or through Internet download.

The book is based on a 4,487-km road trip undertaken by father and son team Ron and Eric Battison in a 1992 Mazda MPV, purchased for $300 with over 319,000 km on the clock. The trip took nearly 79 hours and included almost every winter driving situation possible in Canada, including ice, blowing snow, deer strikes, jackknifed tractor trailers, fatigue and road conditions.

The story includes techniques and facts needed to ensure a safe winter trip, collected from numerous sources including drivers with millions of safe driving miles under their belts.

The book is priced at US$14.95 in print, or can be downloaded for $4.95. For more information, visit CanadianWinter.
