Wolfsburg, Germany – The sixth generation Passat will celebrate its official public premiere at the 75th International Motor Show in Geneva.
It follows on the heels of the Golf Plus, launched 14 days prior and making its first motor show appearance in Geneva.
The new Passat’s styling marks the biggest design change since the series was created, with chrome shield-shaped radiator grille, new headlights and rear styling. The Passat will be launched for public sale in mid-March.
Alongside Passat and Golf Plus on the stands in Volkswagen’s exhibit is the Race Touareg, in which the German/Italian duo of Jutta Kleinschmidt and Fabrizia Pons won third place in this year’s Dakar Rally. It was the first time in the history of the gruelling desert rally that a diesel vehicle won a place on the podium.
