Wolfsburg, Germany – Unveiled internationally at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2005, the Passat has been launched at the Seoul Motor Show and will be sold in Asia in July.
The new Passat has been available to customers in Germany and most European countries since early March; it was launched in Chile in mid-April and will arrive in North America in early August. Its arrival in Africa will come in autumn 2005, and next year will be sold in Japan and Australia. It will be available on all five continents in 2006, doing justice to its reputation as a “global car”. Since its production began in 1973, more than 13 million Passats have been built and sold worldwide.
