Toronto, Ontario – Canadian Scion enthusiasts can win a chance to build the car of their dreams, along with a trip to Las Vegas and the Specialty Equipment Market Show (SEMA) to display the finished result.
The winner will also receive $5,000 and an iPad, while cash prizes and Scion gear will be awarded for the second- and third-place designs.
“Canadian Scion tuners, this is your chance to go behind the scenes at the SEMA world-class industry event and show off your talent on a world stage to a professional audience,” said Larry Hutchinson, director of Scion in Canada. “Impress us, and we’ll send you and your winning Scion to Vegas for the duration of the show.”
To enter the contest, submit an original idea for customization to Scion Canada. Three regional finalists will be chosen based on several factors, including overall creative design, in-car entertainment features, horsepower and cosmetic improvements, and braking and suspension systems.
These finalists will then be asked to customize a 2011 Scion xB, xD or tC, with each provided with $10,000 and access to the Canadian TRD and Scion Authorized accessory catalogues. The three modified Scions will be displayed at the 2011 Toronto and Montreal Importfest shows, with the overall winner announced on-site in Montreal.
Contest designs can be entered from March 1 to 31, 2011. For more information, visit Scion.
