New models boost February sales for Jaguar, Land Rover

Jaguar and Land Rover, now combined under the Aston Martin/Jaguar/Land Rover group in Canada, reported higher sales in February, mostly due to the success of the all-new Jaguar X-Type and Land Rover Freelander models. Jaguar sold 66 X-Types in February while Land Rover sold 80 Freelanders.

Sales of Jaguar XK8 and XKR sports cars were up sharply to 31 vehicles, XJ sedan sales were flat at 30 vehicles, and S-Type sales were down sharply to 12 vehicles in February.

Land Rover Range Rover sales increased to 24 vehicles and Land Rover Discovery sales decreased slightly to 43 vehicles.
