Richmond Hill, Ontario – To mark the 40th anniversary of Mazda’s first Canadian headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, Mazda Canada is offering a special edition of the Mazda3 GT exclusively for B.C. and the Prairie Provinces.
Based on a 2008.5 Mazda3 GT, the Mazda3 GT Limited comes in a “Metropolitan Grey Mica” exterior colour and has some performance accessory enhancements, including a MAZDASPEED cold air intake and MAZDASPEED exhaust, as well as unique ’GT Limited’ floor mats and vehicle badging on the sides and rear.
Available with either a 5-speed manual or 5-speed Sport mode automatic transmission, the Mazda3 GT Limited comes equipped with a moonroof and Luxury Package to enhance the special feel. The package includes leather seats, chrome finish exterior door handles, a six-disc in-dash CD changer, auto climate control, an eight-way adjustable power driver seat, Sirius satellite radio, and BOSE audio sound system with seven speakers.
“Forty years ago, Mazda set up its headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, and began sales operations with a dealer network in B.C. and Alberta,” said Peter Stellatos, Regional Manager for Mazda’s Western Region. “To celebrate this fact, Mazda worked closely with our dealers in British Columbia and the Prairies to develop a special edition specifically for Western Canada. We feel that the enhancements made to the Mazda3 GT Limited provide real value and give the car a little extra ‘zoom-zoom’ for our discerning consumers.”
The Mazda3 GT Limited went on sale in March and is only available at Mazda’s British Columbia and Prairie dealerships. Only 200 units will be produced, and the manufacturer’s suggested retail price for the special edition is $28,350 for the 5-speed manual and $29,450 for the 5-speed automatic.
