Aurora, Illinois – Mazda has opened a new parts distribution centre near Chicago that will supply more than 125 dealers across Canada and the U.S. Midwest.
The Chicago Parts Distribution Center (PDC), located in Aurora, will create 65 full-time jobs.
The facility will supply more than $18 million in parts inventory to dealers and will serve as Mazda’s distribution centre for domestically-sourced parts. It is the last in a $20 million parts distribution centre network expansion announced in July 2010, which created a network of two centres in Canada and five in the U.S.
The facility is managed by Caterpillar Logistics, a subsidiary of Caterpillar Inc.
