Edmonton, Alberta – A new interchange has opened in Edmonton’s west end, offering motorists a safer and more efficient ride.

The interchange replaces a signalized intersection at Lessard Road and the Anthony Henday Drive ring road. It opened to traffic on August 6, 2011.

The $21.9 million project was funded by the federal and provincial governments. Construction started in 2009 and is part of a plan to make Anthony Henday Drive completely free-flowing by the fall of 2011.
