New Hino truck plant opens in Ontario

Woodstock, Ontario – Hino Motors Canada officially opened its new truck assembly plant in Woodstock, Ontario yesterday. Hino is the first Japanese truck maker to locate in Canada, investing $3 million in new manufacturing equipment for the facility, which began production in April; the new plant will produce 2,000 medium-duty commercial trucks annually.

Hino has been in Canada for 32 years, with its head office in Mississauga, Ontario. Last year the company sold over 1,000 trucks in Canada.
