New Ed “Big Daddy” Roth film premieres at Toronto International Film Festival

Toronto, Ontario – Tales of the Rat Fink, a film about 1960s car customizer Ed “Big Daddy” Roth, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last week and now moves into regular theatres, including a special drive-in event.

Made by Toronto director Ron Mann, the film uses archival photographs and footage, cartoons and the voices of such celebrities as John Goodman, Brian Wilson, Jay Leno and the Smothers Brothers to tell the story of the late car builder and creator of the “Rat Fink” cartoon character.

The film will open on September 22 at the 5 Drive-In in Oakville, Ontario, as a special event with hot rods and custom cars, demonstrations and the movie. The film will also be showing at the Vancouver International Film Festival in October.
