New Chrysler synthetic transmission fluid available in September

Auburn Hills, Michigan – In response to marketplace demands, the Chrysler Group has established a licensing program for its advanced synthetic automatic transmission fluid, ATF+4. The program will make the fluid available at retail outlets and through independent repair facilities beginning September 1, 2005.

The fluid was developed with the Lubrizol Corporation to reduce component wear and offer superior temperature performance. Its durability has been successfully proven through severe testing and an intensive Chrysler Group validation process. ATF+4 is approved for use in older transmissions and will be used in all future Chrysler Group vehicles; the previous Mopar ATF+3 will be discontinued.
