New droptop will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show next month
BMW has just released a plethora of photography, as they typically do, of the new 2 Series convertible. The droptop 2 Series will make its public debut next month at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
While Canadian models have yet to be confirmed, expect the convertible variant to be available in the same 228i and M235i guises as the coupe, with prices ranging around $6,000 over the roofed predecessor.
The 228i will be powered by a BMW TwinPower 2.0-litre four-cylinder and may be available with xDrive all-wheel drive when it comes to Canada. M235i models, equipped with a 3.0-litre twin turbocharged inline six-cylinder mill will be a rear-drive only affair.
Unlike many other automakers, BMW is eschewing a folding metal roof for a more traditional, and lighter, cloth top.
