Motoring association offers tips on how not to forget keys in car

Edmonton, Alberta – With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, motorists often discover they’ve forgotten their keys in the car and the doors are locked, says the Alberta Motor Association (AMA).

“Last year, the AMA rescued over 114,000 motorists who locked their keys in their vehicle,” explains Randy Loyk, Motoring Services with the AMA. “And as our response time can be increased due to winter weather conditions, we wanted to remind motorists to get into the practice of checking for their keys before they shut the door. It only takes a few seconds but it can save you the hassle of being locked out of your vehicle and a potentially dangerous situation if it’s during inclement weather or a small child is inside.”
