Mopar offers performance upgrades for SRT-4
Center Line, Michigan – Mopar, Chrysler Group’s parts and accessories department, is
offering a new line of performance upgrades designed to make the Dodge SRT-4 even
quicker. The SRT-designed upgrades include turbo upgrade kits, upgraded suspension
parts and transaxle modifications.
The Dodge SRT-4 was designed to appeal to the 16-to-27-year-old age group, but
current sales statistics show that SRT-4 owners span a range of ages from teenagers
to baby boomers and beyond.
Mopar performance upgrades include the Stage 1 Turbo Upgrade Kit, which pushes the
power of the 2.4-litre turbocharged engine to 240 horsepower and 260 ft.-lbs. of
torque. The Stage 2 Turbo Upgrade Kit produces 260 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 280
ft.-lbs. of torque from 3600-4400 rpm. Stage 3, scheduled for release in mid-June,
will add a larger turbo unit (Mitsubishi TD05HR-15GK2-10cm2) to help bump up the
SRT-4’s horsepower numbers over 300 and torque figures to 320 ft-lbs (estimated).
Other SRT-4 performance and appearance upgrades include a Blow-Off Valve Conversion
Kit, 2.4L Turbo Valve Covers, performance exhaust systems, suspension kits, limited
slip differential, special air filters, performance clutch, and short throw shifter.
