Longueuil, Quebec – Traffic on Montreal’s Champlain Bridge will be restricted this weekend, due to major roadwork to replace the bridge’s expansion joints.

From Friday, June 3 at 10:00 p.m. to Monday, June 6 at 5:00 a.m., only one lane will be open towards Montreal and two lanes towards the South Shore, both day and night.

Setup for the closure will require closing one of three lanes starting at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, and closure of two of three lanes in both directions from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. in order to set up the construction site for the weekend.

During this time, it is recommended that motorists avoid the Champlain Bridge and use the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, Victoria Bridge or the Honoré-Mercier Bridge.
