Longueuil, Quebec – Major roadwork will close much of Montreal’s Champlain Bridge this weekend and motorists are asked to consider alternatives.
The closures will run from Friday, June 17 at 10:00 p.m. to Monday, June 20 at 5:00 a.m. to complete the replacement of the expansion joints. During this period, only one lane will be open towards the South Shore and two lanes towards Montreal, both during the day and at night.
In order to set up the construction site, there will only be one lane open in each direction from Friday night at 10:00 p.m. to Saturday morning at 2:00 a.m. Afterwards, the configuration of two lanes to Montreal and one to the South Shore will be in place until Monday morning.
Motorists are advised to use the Jacques-Cartier Bridge, Victoria Bridge or Honoré-Mercier Bridge this weekend instead of the Champlain Bridge.
