Montreal auto show opens January 9th

Montreal, Quebec – Friday, January 9th is the first day of the 36th Montreal
International Auto Show which runs from the 9th through Sunday, January 18th at the
Palais des congres de Montreal.

“It’s so great to be back in January,” Auto Show President André Dorais told
reporters on Thursday. “We have returned to a tradition we started 36 years ago,
that has become a custom for all visitors too. The Auto Show just has to be held
after the hectic Holiday Season!”

In addition to over 650 vehicles on display, show organizers have arranged a
childcare centre, an on-site movie theatre, a blood drive, and prize give-aways
including the grand prize – a 2004 Honda Element, courtesy of Honda Canada. One of
the Auto Show’s special attractions is the Canadian premiere of the Saleen S7
supercar. As well, the reputable Quebec Tuning magazine has gathered several of the
best modified vehicles for display.

The Montreal International Auto Show runs from January 9 to 18 at the Palais des
congres de Montreal, 1001, De Bleury (place Jean-Paul-Riopelle). Hours are from 10
a.m. to 10 p.m. (except on Sunday, January 18, when the doors will close at 8 p.m.).
The Show is organised by the Montreal Automobile Dealers Corporation (MADC).
