Mitsubishi launches Canadian-produced television campaign for all-new Outlander

Mississauga, Ontario – Mitsubishi has launched a new Canadian-produced television advertisement that draws on its legacy of victories in the Dakar Rally to introduce its all-new Outlander.
The television spot, created by BBDO Toronto, begins with footage from Mitsubishi’s twelfth victory in the Dakar Rally, then flashes to the streets of Vancouver where the Dakar Rally car transforms into a 2007 Outlander that races to a dealership where a salesperson is waiting with a couple for the arrival of their new car.
The advertisement flashes between the desert rally scenes and the Canadian landscape, concluding with the mud-covered Outlander sliding to a stop in front of the salesperson and shedding all its dirt and decals in a splatter that covers the walls. The interior shots were done at Newtype-Richmond Mitsubishi in Richmond, B.C.
