Mississauga, Ontario – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada (MMSCAN) has entered company-support vehicles in the upcoming Targa Newfoundland rally. The company will field a 2009 Lancer Ralliart and 2008 Lancer Evolution GSR that have been specially prepared by MMSCAN for the race, which will run from September 13 to 20, 2008.

The Evolution GSR will run in the Modern Modified Targa class and be driven by Andrew Comrie-Picard in his first appearance in the rally, with co-driver Jen Horsey, a Targa Newfoundland veteran, writer and broadcaster.

The Ralliart will compete in the Modern Standard Targa class, driven by race driver, journalist and Targa veteran Mark Hacking, and co-driver John LeBlanc, also a journalist.

The annual Targa Newfoundland covers 2,000 km and includes more than 400 km of competition stages. For more information, visit Targa Newfoundland.
