Toronto, Ontario – The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) and Mitsubishi Motors has announced the nine-episode series Mitsubishi City Chase, being produced in conjunction with Buck Productions from Toronto. Filmed at City Chase Events in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, the series will take viewers across Canada through the challenge. Mitsubishi is the title sponsor of City Chase events.
“Mitsubishi has always been at the forefront of new ideas, emerging technologies and innovative approaches to business,” said Koji Soga, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada. “So it makes the utmost sense that we would join with Canada’s national TV network in presenting to Canadians, for the first time, a unique and sophisticated event that embodies both quick thinking and boldness within an athletic environment.”
The City Chase is an urban adventure that requires teams of two to exhibit teamwork, resourcefulness, determination and the ability to make decisions on the fly as they reach for “ChasePoint” challenges scattered in unknown locations throughout the city.
Each city will be featured in two half-hour episodes, and will conclude with a one-hour finale from the Canadian Championships on September 4 to 6, in a location still to be determined. The Toronto Chase will take place this weekend, with a 10:00 a.m. start at Metro Hall.
