Mitsubishi Canada announces resignation of President

Mississauga, Ontario – Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada Inc. has announced that President and CEO Paul Cummings has resigned from the company, effective immediately, to pursue other interests.

Cummings was responsible for building a management team that has taken Mitsubishi to a 6.8 per cent sales increase in 2006; the company says the team will continue to build on its momentum. In the past nine months, under Cummings’ leadership, the company opened nine new dealerships and was granted greater independence from the company’s U.S. branch, with Canadian operations reporting directly to Tokyo. The company will continue with its goal of 90 dealerships across the country in three years.
