MitsuCypress, California – Mitsubishi has broken five Guinness World Records within a 24-hour period with its Outlander and Outlander Sport on a frozen lake near Calgary. The feat becomes the latest marketing campaign for Mitsubishi, highlighting the vehicles’ all-wheel control system.

The Outlander Sport is sold as the RVR in Canada.

The two vehicles were driven by stuntman Garvin Cross, a movie stunt double for Daniel Craig, on frozen Ghost Lake near Calgary. The vehicles broke the record for the greatest distance driven by a vehicle in reverse on snow in 30 seconds; shortest braking distance by a vehicle on ice; most vehicle figure-eights on ice in two minutes; fastest vehicle slalom relay on ice; and fastest driven square lap.

The resulting advertisements will air on twelve network and cable TV stations, including ESPN, Discovery Channel and FX.
