Both models to go out of production next year
It seems earlier rumours of MINI streamlining their range has come true as AutoGuide has confirmed the Roadster and Coupe models will go out of production next year.
AutoGuide spoke to Patrick McKenna, MINI USA product manager, who stated, “The Coupe and the Roadster will actually go out of production next year. They’ve run their life cycle.”
Unlike other models in the MINI range, the Roadster and Coupe didn’t offer up enough differentiation versus the core hatchback and convertible models. They were equipped with the same engines and interiors while pinned to the same platform.
MINI will introduce a new 5-door hatchback model to the Canadian market in the near future.
