Laval, Quebec – Michelin has increased the warranty on its X-Ice tires, covering tread wear for five years or 60,000 km in winter driving conditions. The company said it is the first time such a warranty has ever been offered on winter tires.
The warranty is available to original purchasers of any Michelin X-Ice Xi2 or Latitude X-Ice Xi2 winter tire bought on or after September 1, 2010. The winter driving conditions are considered from September 1 to April 30.
“The Michelin X-Ice Xi2 and Latitude X-Ice Xi2 are state-of-the-art products that are consistently ranked at the top of the winter category,” said Norman Latrémouille, manager of Michelin’s winter segment. “We absolutely stand behind our engineering expertise and the long-lasting winter performance of these two tires, so we decided to showcase the value they can bring to consumers by offering this never-seen-before tread wear warranty.”
