Michelin releases third edition of New York City guide
New York, New York – Michelin has released the third edition of the Michelin Guide New York City, which features 619 establishments, including 565 restaurants and 54 hotels.
The tire company has produced its Michelin Guides for over a century, and currently covers 17 countries on two continents. In North America, the guides cover New York City and San Francisco, and the company plans to publish guides to Los Angeles and Las Vegas in 2008.
The New York City 2008 edition includes the Bib Gourmand category, covering 52 restaurants that serve a meal with two dishes and a glass of wine or dessert for US$40 or less, as well as a category of 71 restaurants serving a similar meal for US$25 or less.
