Michelin offers to refund spectator’s Indianapolis Grand Prix tickets

Indianapolis, Indiana – One week after the Indianapolis Grand Prix, Michelin has announced it will make a goodwill gesture to spectators present at the race. Michelin drivers did not participate in the race due to concerns about the safety of their tires on turns.

Michelin announced that it will offer to refund the cost of tickets for all spectators present at the circuit on June 19, 2005. The company has also offered to buy 20,000 tickets for the 2006 U.S. Grand Prix, which will be given to spectators who were present at the 2005 Indianapolis race. The company stresses that this is a goodwill gesture and that it is under no legal obligation to do so.
