Michelin confirms sponsorship of 2005 Honda/Michelin racing series

Laval, Quebec – For the second consecutive year, Michelin announced its partnership with Honda for the 2005 Honda/Michelin Racing Series. Michelin will fit Honda Civic DX Coupe race cars with high-performance tires, as well as providing a new trackside support service free of charge to drivers during the ten-race series this summer.

“Michelin is proud to be associated with the Racing Series,” says Tony Mougios,
Director of Marketing for Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. “The 2004 series
was a great success, and we look forward to another exciting season of road
racing.”

The Honda/ Michelin Racing Series is designed to encourage young drivers to
enter the sport and give drivers the opportunity to showcase their talent in
Honda Civic DX Coupes. To help bring out the best in these young drivers, the
Honda Series car is fitted with high-performance tires for both wet and dry road
conditions. For optimized wet track performance, drivers will benefit from the
responsive handling of the new Michelin Pilot Exalto PE2 tires. For dry race conditions, the handling of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires will keep drivers on track.

New this year, Michelin is providing trackside support free of charge to
drivers. This initiative will give young drivers peace of mind in knowing that
tire experts are on-site to help with mounting and balancing and provide
technical support. In the event of a sudden weather change, the Michelin
trackside support team will also help drivers change their tires to meet the new
demands of wet or dry conditions.

The 2005 Honda/ Michelin Racing Series will be held over nine weekends this
summer in cities across Ontario and Quebec.
