Toronto, Ontario – The new 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March and will go on sale in Canada this September. The 302-horsepower C350 and 201-horsepower C250 include the technology featured on the upcoming 2012 C-Class sedan, but are package in a new design.
“By extending the C-Class portfolio, we are consciously targeting new customers,” said Dr. Joachim Schmidt, head of sales and marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars. “The new model is youthful, stylish and expressive. What we are offering is an exceptionally sporty way to enter the world of the Mercedes-Benz coupe.”
From the front, the new coupe shares the same styling as the latest C-Class sedan but with its own personality. From the rear, the appearance of length is reduced by the flowing roof, steeply raked rear window and fluid C-pillars. Inside, the coupe is a four-seater with comfortable seats and integrated head restraints.
The C250 uses a turbocharged direct-injection gasoline engine, while the V6 in the C350 features BlueDirect injection, delivering 302 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. Both models use a seven-speed automatic transmission.
