Toronto, Ontario – Mercedes-Benz Canada has provided a Sprinter to the Deutschmobil cross-Canada tour, in which German teachers will visit schools across the country to help Canadian students learn more about one of Canada’s important trading partners.
Marcus Breitschwerdt, president and CEO of Mercedes-Benz Canada, officially handed over the vehicle at an event in Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario to start its 14,000-kilometre journey.
The tour will visit eastern Canada before returning to Toronto and then continuing west for two more months until it reaches British Columbia. Deutschmobil is a cooperative and varied language and culture project in collaboration with the German Embassy in Ottawa.
“Today, information can travel around the world in an instant, and businesses operate on a global scale across international borders,” Breitschwerdt said. “Canada’s diverse cultural mosaic and the myriad of languages spoken is a proud aspect of our country’s heritage and a unique and important factor for its continued growth. Mercedes-Benz Canada is proud to help foster a deeper understanding of other cultures and languages in Canada.”
