Mercedes-Benz receives top marks in Germany for reliability

Stuttgart, Germany – Mercedes-Benz is one of the winners in this year’s compilation of breakdown statistics by the German motorist association ADAC. The company’s passenger vehicles received top marks in three categories.

The Mercedes-Benz A-Class, not available in Canada, was the winner in the “Lower Mid-Range” category, making it the most reliable compact car on Germany’s roads, according to the ADAC’s statistics. The average breakdown rate for 2004 models was 2.3 per thousand vehicles.

The M-Class won top honours in the “Off-Roader” category, while the E-Class and S-Class won top spots in the “Upper Mid-Range/Luxury Class” category.
