Toronto, Ontario – The 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet will go on sale across Canada later this month, at a starting price of $67,900 for the E350 and $77,500 for the E550.
The models feature new styling and sophisticated safety systems and advanced technologies, including a further-developed AIRSCARF neck-level heating system and the world’s first AIRCAP air deflector, an automatic draft stop that can be controlled at the touch of a button to significantly reduce turbulence.
The fully automatic soft top can be opened and closed within 20 seconds, even at speeds of up to 40 km/h, and is stowed in a special compartment behind the rear panel separated from the trunk area. If the roof remains closed, the cover can be slid rearward, increasing trunk capacity by an additional 90 litres to 391 litres.
The E350 features a 3.5-litre V6 engine producing 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, while the E550 uses a 5.5-litre V8 producing 382 horsepower and 391 lb-ft of torque.
