Mercedes-Benz delivers 25-millionth passenger vehicle since 1945
Stuttgart, Germany – Mercedes-Benz marked the 25-millionth passenger car sold worldwide since postwar production began in 1945. The milestone vehicle, an E-Class, was handed over to the owner of a Munich taxi company in Sindelfingen, Germany.
The company launched its Mercedes 170 in 1946; since then, more than 11.5 million customers have purchased an upper-range model. The current seventh generation of the E-Class, launched in 2002, has sold 1.1 million units.
