Mercedes-Benz C-Class to be available with 4MATIC all-wheel drive

Stuttgart, Germany – Shortly after the Europe-wide market launch of the C-Class, Mercedes-Benz has announced that the C280, C350 and C320 CDI models will be available with 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive.

The system uses a transfer case with centre differential, which distributes torque 45/55 front to rear. The 4MATIC sedans will also use a seven-speed automatic transmission developed specifically for all-wheel drive models.

With the announcement, the company now offers 49 4MATIC variants in seven model series, which it says will be the widest range of all-wheel drive cars in the premium segment.
