Mercedes-Benz announces new S-Class
Stuttgart, Germany – Mercedes-Benz has released photos of the new 2006 S-Class, which will be appearing in showrooms in Fall, 2005.
Four models will be introduced: the 272 hp S350, 388 hp S500, 231 hp S320 CID, and 517 hp S600. The new model replaces a line-up that was the world’s number one luxury car; about 485,000 S-Class models have been built since 1998.
Among the new S-Class’ features will be brake assist with radar, seats with extended massage function, preventative occupant protection, and parking assist.
The S-Class will come in two wheelbase lengths, which are 33 and 43 mm longer than the models they replace. Interior space has also been increased, as has the trunk capacity.
