Mercedes-Benz and Smart provide online access to rescue services information
Toronto, Ontario – Mercedes-Benz has announced that it now offers a series of guidelines for rescue services, which show firefighters, rescue crews or paramedics how to quickly gain access to the interior of all Mercedes-Benz and Smart vehicles, without injuring themselves or the people trapped inside.
The guidelines include instructions for how jammed doors can be opened, a badly-dented roof can be removed, and where systems such as airbags, batteries and fuel tanks are located, and how to work with and around them. The guidelines are available in English at www.thesmart.ca/rescue, or in French at , and www.lasmart.ca/secours.and at
